2025 Exhibition at The Convent Gallery - Daylesford

Studio Update — 2025

It’s incredible to look back at how much has shifted since my last Convent Gallery exhibition in 2023. At the time, I had just been invited to exhibit fourteen works at The Convent Gallery in Daylesford. I was creating at a pace I’d never attempted before (14 in three months!!) writing my very first CV, Bio, and Artist Statement, and hoping I had pieced everything together well enough to step into the art world with some form of confidence.

Exhibiting at The Convent Daylesford remains one of the most meaningful milestones in my journey. Often described as “the most beautiful art gallery in Australia,” The Convent is a multi-award-winning destination nestled on the crest of Wombat Hill in Daylesford. This 19th-century former convent and boarding school stretches across four levels, with seven gallery spaces, a museum, chapel, gift shop, café, bar, and beautifully restored historic architecture. Surrounded by fragrant, manicured gardens and sweeping views of Victoria’s central highlands, it’s an iconic space where art, history, and culture come together in the most breathtaking way. Exhibiting there truly shaped me — both as an artist and as a person, and was a dream since I visited The Convent as a young school girl.

Two years later, my practice feels different: steadier, more deliberate, and more connected to the deeper themes that continue to surface in my work.

2025 has been a year of focused creation, and I’m finally ready to share that I have completed sixteen new original pieces for my upcoming exhibition, Beneath the Veil.

This new collection includes:

• a mixture of 91.5 cm × 1.2 m works

• one large 1 m × 1.5 m piece framed in Oak

• a couple of smaller works framed under glass created on wallpaper, adding a unique texture and narrative.

All are ready to hang, and all created with immense care. Because I’m a slow, detail-focused maker, these will be the only works available for purchase for some time — which makes releasing them feel both vulnerable and exciting.

For those who have followed my journey from the early days to now, thank you for being here. Your encouragement, messages, and quiet (and sometimes loud :) support mean more than you know.

If you’d like early access to the exhibition catalogue — including artwork previews, sizes, materials, and pricing — you can subscribe through my website. Subscribers will receive the catalogue before the public release.

More updates are coming very soon on my socials.
