'Ascent' is rendered on a richly patterned fabric base, using layers of acrylic, coloursoft pencil, graphite, and charcoal. Sealed with spray varnish. 
 
The figure emerges and recedes - part of the botanical print, yet distinct - inviting the viewer to look closer and question what is revealed and what remains hidden.
 
Her face tilts upward, half veiled yet touched by light. The gesture suggests transcendence — rising beyond concealment into something freer, more luminous. Vulnerability becomes not a weakness, but the very source of her elevation. This work reflects the journey of lifting one’s spirit above fear and into empowerment, even when veiled by shadows.
