'Emerald Veil' is rendered on a richly patterned fabric base, using layers of acrylic, coloursoft pencil, graphite, and charcoal. Sealed with spray varnish. 
 
The figure emerges and recedes - part of the botanical print, yet distinct - inviting the viewer to look closer and question what is revealed and what remains hidden.
 
She is cloaked in a mantle of green — a veil that acts as both shield and disguise. Precious and protective, it conceals her truest self while keeping her safe from exposure. This duality reflects how women often navigate survival: balancing vulnerability with the need to appear composed. The work honours both the beauty of concealment and the quiet courage it takes to live behind it.
