'Sweet Surrender' is rendered on a richly patterned fabric base, using layers of acrylic, coloursoft pencil, graphite, and charcoal. All the outer blooms are hand cut fabric flowers, giving texture and vibrance. Sealed with spray varnish. 
 
The figure emerges and recedes - part of the botanical print, yet distinct - inviting the viewer to look closer and question what is revealed and what remains hidden.
 
I Imagined flowers falling upon her. And her fully surrendering to the feeling it brings - the quiet release of resistance, the moment the body remembers it is safe to soften. 
 
Sweet surrender is not giving up, but giving in to what has always been waiting - tenderness, trust, and the freedom found in letting go.
