'Veil of the Lotus' is rendered on a richly patterned fabric base, using layers of acrylic, coloursoft pencil, graphite, and charcoal. Sealed with spray varnish. 
 
The figure emerges and recedes - part of the botanical print, yet distinct - inviting the viewer to look closer and question what is revealed and what remains hidden.
 
She emerges from the lilies, her features revealed and hidden in equal measure. The lotus — a flower known for rising from murky waters untouched — becomes a mirror of her own resilience. The veil does not diminish her; it highlights the strength that grows through adversity. This work reflects the quiet power of transformation, renewal, and survival through grace.
