Two Awards in Two weeks !

Just a quick update on what I have been up to!

An Original Artwork headed to Milan, Italy this month to be showcased in the 'Donne in Rinascita' 13th edition of the Contemporary Art Competition "Women in Rebirth".

There were 3 Judges Awards and 2 special honourable mentions, to which I was selected as first honourable mention. What an absolute surprise! I was so thrilled to wake up that morning and see my work being recognised oversees.

The second piece was in an Exhibition in my home town of Geelong, a smaller piece called 'Petals'. Not only did 'Petals' receive a judges award - honourable mention, but she sold and I couldn't be happier.

I have recently placed work in a beautiful little shop in Pakington Street, Geelong West called 'From around here'. This shop sells goods from our local community and from along the surf coast of Australia. There are some very talented makers in this part of the world.

From here, I am thinking about the future and planning what's next. But for now If you were interested, I am going to go old school again, and do some small work (40cm x 50cm) for sale directly from me, so lucky you (members and subscribers) will see them before anyone else!

I will let you know when they are ready (April onwards).
